2-3 College Counseling ExperiencePosition Description
The Counseling Center Director has overall responsibility for all program area(s) and activities of the university counseling center including clinical services (intake; individual; couples; group; and emergency/crisis counseling; and individual assessment); outreach and consultation services, training (internship program and a practicum program); fiscal and administrative duties. The director recruits, selects, trains, supervises and evaluates the counseling center staff and assigns work activities, projects and programs; monitors work flow and adjusts as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the center. The director will maintain a strong relationship with the academic units to ensure a vibrant student practicum and internship program and consult with faculty, students, and staff to develop innovative methods for delivery of counseling and outreach services. The director is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the center and the effective use of resources; evaluation of the program and activities including student usage, student learning, student satisfaction and student retention. The successful candidate will establish strategic goals and objectives consistent with division and the universities strategic planning process; oversee the department budget including regular monitoring of income and expenses to ensure an annual balanced budget; oversee and maintain Titanium; participate in Student Affairs activities including membership on the Student Care Team and represent the department and the division through participation in campus meetings, committee appointments and presentations; create and maintain outreach and marketing materials including the departmental website. The director is also responsible for providing individual, couples, group, and crisis counseling and preparing the annual report and maintaining the departmental metrics.How To Apply - Staff Positions
