The Behavioral Clinical Coordinator will provide lead clinical services to Grandma's Kids schools Prince Hall, McKinley and Wister, focusing on group session topics derived from instructions students receive from the "Second Step" Violence Prevention curriculum. Sessions will be performed in a "group" setting for students at the after-school program site. Primary responsibilities will be to report session activities, discussion topics, incidents, time, date, goal plan for following meeting, attendance and provide signatures for all sessions for each weekly visit for all schools; provide referrals for outpatient therapy as needed and upon approval of legal guardian via referral; act as a support to the class on an individualize basis for children who are disruptive to the class/ require one-on-one support; and complete documentation of services rendered to Program Director weekly for general services and within 24-48 hours for incident reports and emergencies. Services will be provided one day a week for 2 weeks per school. Sessions will be held at GK school sites for one hour per site on Monday or Friday between 3pm and 5pm. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or another related field and at least two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to obtain both PA and FBI child abuse clearances.
  • Must be able to travel to varying program sites as well as Temple University campuses.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of constituents.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Must be able to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS Office.
