Web Applications Support Specialist - West Lafayette - Academic Technologies (Job Number: 1201948)
The Web Applications Support Specialist will serve as frontline customer contact for the Informatics group by managing and facilitating maintenance requests received based on set procedure and provide day-to-day maintenance of existing applications; including responding to web request emails and tickets. This positions will manage the Customer Service Center task list and offer techniques to ensure the correct placement and distribution of tasks within the Informatics group.
Two years of college coursework toward a degree in computer technology, computer graphics technology, computer science or related field.
One year of experience in a customer service environment.
Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to be part of project teams and work with editors, writers, photographers, programmers and clients.
Effective consulting, presentation, influencing, collaboration and time-management skills.
Must be creative and comfortable learning and using new technologies.
Experience providing technology support to users in a university environment.
Experience supporting websites or applications.
Experience managing tasks within Footprints.
A working understanding of cross-browser/platform web development issues.
Employment in this position will require a background check for both new and current University employees.
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)
