The Instructional Technologist supports quality course design and the use, development, implementation and assessment of technology to enhance teaching and learning. The position provides instruction, training and technical assistance in the delivery and production of online courses to better and more efficiently serve our students and faculty.

  • Master's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, or related area; and
  • Two years of experience in application of instructional design , development, training and consultation with faculty; data integration, web page and graphic design, and development and implementation of training for LMS authors, designers and content developers
((Management and Administration))
  • Create and implement a quality assurance process for online course design through the Quality Matters process
  • Evaluate new educational technologies for possible adoption
  • Recommend new educational technology for purchase and implementation
  • Provide training on current and new educational technologies to include mobile and ubiquitous applications
  • Write periodic reports on training activity
  • Create, administer and report the results of surveys and assessments in the E-Learning Department
  • Maintain the E-Learning page on the College's website
  • Function as liaison between the Academic Affairs (E-Learning Department) and the Computer and Information Technology Services Division
  • Research, summarize and recommend teaching and learning technologies

  • Provide instructional design and technical support for faculty using technology
  • Conduct training on best practices of course design for teaching and learning
  • Provide training as needed for newly purchased instructional technology
  • Work with faculty and staff members to design and produce technology-mediated learning experiences
