Job Description: Information Technology & Computing Services - Academic Technologies is seeking a web application consultant. The position will offer technical expertise in the daily support of campus-wide web applications such as SharePoint, CommonSpot, WordPress, and Tech Excel. Ability to create tools utilizing the vendors' APIs and web services to extend application functionality to our users is required. In addition to daily application support, development of web services, sites, and pages in ColdFusion and PHP are necessary. As new technologies emerge and needs for projects change, the selected candidate will need to be flexible and learn new tools and methods.

Knowledge of development methods for web, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, XML/XSL, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, ColdFusion is essential. Proficiency should also include database structure in both MS SQL and MySQL. An understanding of IIS and Apache is important as well as server skills for both Windows and Linux. Additionally, knowledge of asp and .net would be beneficial. Candidate should possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage current and concurrent tasks. It is critical that the candidate possess effective oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.

The selected candidate will be expected to provide consulting and training on all aspects of the afore mentioned products to faculty, staff, and students, which will include teaching workshops, one-on-one consulting, and documentation in both written and web format as necessary. Understanding of multi-media, social media, mobile and emerging technology, as well as the application of these tools in education is desired.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.

Salary Grade Equivalent: 77 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
