This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsWill develop strategic and operational plans for key organizational projects and manage enterprise wide clinical, research and educational data and its analysis, interpretation and presentation for the Indiana University School of Medicine(IUSM) leadership. Responsible for financial and statistical reporting and analyses. Apply process improvement methods and tools to improve project management, operational efficiency and data mining while providing leadership, consulting and communication for system wide strategic projects.
Some duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing the strategic planning and decision making process for data management, programming and reporting of enterprise wide data. Responsible for establishing financial and statistical data as well as analysis, interpretation and presentation to IUSM leadership. Must have a complete understanding of all data used in the Health Sciences systems. Directly responsible for the analysis, design, development, modification and support of highly complex reporting and analysis.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of both business and technical aspects of data warehouse systems; knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources; knowledge of project management and process improvement tools and methodology. Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; complex problem solving skills; negotiation; persuasive communication and social perceptiveness skills. Demonstrated ability of strategic planning and management capabilities. Ability to think strategically and creatively, to anticipate technology trends and to transfer that thinking into cogent plans for a large and complex organization. Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and make recommendations on resolving issues. Strong analytical abilities. Ability to understand and work with various personalities. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, plus 8 to 10 years of experience in strategic planning, development and management of enterprise wide data and financial and statistical reporting and analyses. Demonstrated experience with project management, system administration and supervision of staff.
Preferred: MBA or MPH from an accredited institution.
