This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Description: The primary purpose of this position is to improve and maintain the university's emergency operation planning and training program. Primary responsibilities are to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Emergency Operation Plan and Business Continuity program for East Carolina University through program design, template design, departmental consultation, and coordination of resources and training. The selected candidate will serve as support for emergency management functions. The selected candidate will also be responsible for revising the university-wide Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and promoting, coordinating, reviewing, and approving individual departmental BCPs. This position reports to and supports the Environmental/Emergency Manager position. This position is considered an Emergency Employee as defined in the ECU Adverse Weather Guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a physical science, biological science, environmental science/engineering, occupational safety, industrial technology or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licensure. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 72 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
