Facilities & Services partners with the campus community to keep a safe, clean, and functional environment for faculty, students, and staff. The systems and controls group is a branch of Utilities and Energy Services. This group is responsible for maintaining the campus card access and existing building direct digital control (DDC) systems. Our team works closely with the engineering and maintenance system/controls staff.
Currently, a position is available for an individual with technical software expertise in operating our campus DDC systems. Selected candidates will help maintain, program, and troubleshoot these systems as well as provide information to assist engineers and field technicians in the HVAC area. Experience with these control systems is a plus. The ability to produce web pages for temperature control systems is valuable. Expertise in maintaining these computer servers and networks is desirable.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree. An engineering degree is preferred. One year of progressively responsible work experience programming Schneider Electric, and /or Siemens DDC systems is preferred. Candidate must understand or be capable of learning electrical and pneumatic controls and sequencing and have a familiarity with the design and/or installation of HVAC systems and ability to work on a team and/or independently with minimal supervision. Some training is expected to be provided for this position.
This is a full-time academic professional position. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible following the closing date. Salary commensurate with qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
