In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, the Department of Geography-Geology maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in part-time non-tenure-track Instructional Assistant Professor and Lecturer teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously for part-time, non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available. There may not be an actual vacancy at the time you apply.
Position Responsibilities: Candidates will be expected to effectively teach the required course, including grading of assignments and examinations. Regular office hours are required as is willingness to meet with students outside class. No departmental service is expected.
Required Qualifications: Minimally a master's degree in Geography or Geology is required for upper division classes and preferred for classes at all levels. A bachelor's degree and at least 18 graduate hours is the minimal requirement for 100 and 200 level classes.
About the Department: Geography and Geology provides active programs in both disciplines at the undergraduate level, with a wide variety of courses offered every semester. The department prides itself on top-quality teaching and strong attention to our undergraduate students.
