Assistant Director, Office of Institutional Effectiveness

Major responsibilities: provide leadership and support for the MAP-Works student success project; manage the national Survey of Student Engagement, Summer Orientation Survey, Withdrawing Student Survey, Graduate Student Exit Survey, as well as others; serve as the Office's primary liaison to the Division of Student Affairs through projects such as MAP-Works, studies involving students in living-learning communities, and projects with the Career Center; carry out ad hoc surveys, studies, and analyses such as those supporting accreditation and external funding efforts; contribute to Office activities such as Fact book and responses to external surveys.
Minimum qualifications: master's degree in psychology, sociology, education, business, or related area involving social science research skills; at least one year of experience in a university setting developing, administering, and reporting the results of student surveys; excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and report writing skills; ability to work effectively with limited supervision; ability to represent the office with numerous constituencies.
Preferred qualifications: experience with MAP-Works, NSSE, and other surveys currently used in the office; experience working with student data in a data warehouse/business intelligence environment.
