Job Description: An experienced construction professional is needed to provide leadership and expertise in the execution of multiple construction/renovation projects on campus. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in construction estimating, project planning and scheduling, origination and management of contracts and purchases, and identifying construction issues and providing effective solutions. It is essential that the selected candidate be an enthusiastic self starter.

In addition to proven experience in the above activities, preferred minimum training and experience include graduation from a two-year college with a major in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering and three years of progressive experience in the construction or renovation of buildings and building systems, including two years in the direction or planning of building construction or renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a four-year college degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field with four years of related experience, as well as experience in the monitoring of budgets, project scheduling and development, and control of work program.

Minimum Qualifications: Two-year technical degree in the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Applicable certifications may be required. Technicians are trained in the applicable laws or inspection procedures through some combination of classroom and on-the-job training.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Advanced level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 71 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
