This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsJob Summary: Responsible for the execution of team and departmental strategies and the management of day-to-day maintenance activities.
Provides coaching, guidance, supervision, and leadership to the maintenance team; conducts meetings, performs performance reviews, and participates in the goal setting/evaluation process; and works with the property manager on team strategies, training, budget planning, and monitoring. Manages remodeling projects as well as routine maintenance projects and interacts professionally with the IU campus community, contractors, and vendors.

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and five years facility management, maintenance, and renovation of residential type structures that includes at least two years of supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Knowledge and understanding of construction trades including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; demonstrated knowledge of project management in various trades, accepted practices, and safety codes; and ability to use basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to work as a self-starter; ability to work in a professional, ethical, and trustworthy manner; and ability to work with a strong customer-service orientation.
