Position: The Division of University Relations, University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking a candidate for the new position of Senior Director of Strategic Performance Analysis. The Senior Director will be responsible for the retrieval, organization, and analyzing of all financial, fundraising, performance metrics, statistics, personnel, measurement and historical data relative to University Relations and its activities. He/she will compile reports and conduct analysis of all data collected and maintain historical reports for future comparison. The incumbent will provide information to assist the leadership team in reviewing and assessing the operations and abilities to provide campaign management, donor acquisition and management and operation support to colleges, departments, and the general university to support continuing and accelerating fund raising operations. The position will also be the point person for the completion, and providing assistance to complete, all external and internal surveys, reports and analysis for the division.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Five to Ten years experience in a combination of statistical analysis, metric measurement, data analysis, database management, reporting and report management. Experience working with IT, Finance, Budget, HR and other professionals to define and extract data elements and combine into presentations and analysis for senior management review and broad use by other technical and non-technical associates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of sophisticated and state of the art management and reporting analysis tools and techniques, statistical sampling, regression analysis, impact determination, projection analysis and historical trend profiling. Ability to produce and present high quality detailed or summary analyses and presentations readily adaptable and continuously updateable for various audiences and constituencies. Superior PC and software skills. Ability to access various and multiple unrelated database/software systems to extract and relate data across multiple platforms and agencies as needed. Ability to work with little direction and oversight from concept to completed product.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Traditional office environment. Will generally not be required to work evenings or weekends unless necessary to complete assignments relative to Board meetings or special deadlines on projects.

Compensation: Salary range is $72,000 - $90,000. Competitive and commensurate with experience.
