This position is no longer an active posting on HigherEdJobsMillikin University is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Success to work closely with the Director and other Office of Student Success staff members in developing and implementing strategies that focus on retention and persistence of our students. The Assistant Director will have the primary responsibilities for developing and implementing the EDGE program, a program for first-year freshman at Millikin needing to enhance their academic skills. The Assistant Director teaches IN 110 and IN 113 courses: Academic Strategies and Exploratory Studies; employing intrusive strategies and meeting with students individually to improve their academic performance. The Assistant Director also supervises and trains interns and peer learning assistants; assists in compiling and reporting data for reports, and offers workshops and classroom presentations. Additionally, the Assistant Director assists in the delivery of accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Evening and weekend responsibilities are frequent in this position.
