Nurse Coordinator

Howard Community College

Job Description:

The Wellness Center at Howard Community College is seeking a nurse coordinator to plan, develop, and assist with health promotion activities on campus. Coordinator will provide direction and supervision to students during health related activities within the Wellness Center. Discusses and evaluates student health concerns and refers as necessary to a network of health and wellness resources.


$26.00/hour. This position may be limited to one year and is eligible for overtime (for hours worked over 40).

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with an Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Candidate should have at least one year experience working with adolescent/young adult population preferably in a Community Health setting. Experience in a higher education a plus. Some clinical experience preferred. Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Knowledge of ethical principles and federal and state regulations governing the collection and storage of health information
