The State University of New York at Oswego seeks an Admissions Counselor. Responsibilities include the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students; admissions presentations; interviewing and counseling prospective students and their families; fall and spring recruitment travel, with focus on diverse populations and significant travel in the metropolitan New York area; application review.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree; prior experience in college admissions or closely related area; working knowledge of computer and/or web applications; proficiency in Spanish language.
