Kathleen Hermacinski

Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator, Illinois Wesleyan University

Kathleen Hermacinski is currently an associate vice president of human resources and Title IX coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University. 

She previously served as the director of human resources at Eureka College, where she worked for eight years. Since 2017, Kathleen has made significant contributions to her field, including completing the prestigious College and University Professional Association of Human Resource Professionals (CUPA-HR) Ignite Program during the 2022/23 year. In 2024, she was elected as an at-large member of the Illinois State CUPA-HR Board, reflecting her commitment to advancing HR practices in higher education.

Kathleen serves as a human resources expert for HigherEdJobs, where she contributes her expertise as a guest host on their podcast and contributes to articles as a subject matter expert.

An accomplished athlete, Kathleen is a three-time international medalist representing Team USA in bowling. She has an impressive record as a three-time All-American at Robert Morris University, and has claimed numerous titles, including the 21-Peoria Women's Bowling City Champion and 2-time Illinois State Women's Champion. Additionally, she has been named to four Peoria River City All-Star Teams and currently serves as the President of the Peoria River City USBC, an organization dedicated to supporting local youth bowlers with over $50,000 in awards.

Kathleen is deeply involved in her community, contributing her time and skills to organizations such as Women in Leadership, the American Red Cross, and Feeding Illinois. She also previously held the position of Director of the Illinois State USBC and serves as an Election Judge.
