April 15, 2020 marked 60 years since the founding of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Jelani Favors, an associate professor of history and author of a book on how historically black colleges and universities ushered in a new era of activism and leadership, discusses SNCC's legacy and what lessons it can offer today's activists.
